Volunteer

Florida’s Poison Control Centers love volunteers. With a small staff and a large population to keep safe, we count on parent educators, safety coordinators, students, retirees and other willing and enthusiastic people to help our education team prevent poisonings in Florida. Each poison center has its own educator and its own volunteer requirements and opportunities. Volunteers typically participate in health fairs and other events, lead programs, or assist with clerical duties. Depending on the type of volunteer work that interests you, it may be necessary to go through the application and screening process of one of our host institutions. If you are interested in volunteering with your local poison center, select your center below to find your local educator and for a description of the volunteer program near you.
